Sammy and Naughty COVID
£0.99
SAMMY AND NAUGHTY COVID is a new picture book. It is aimed at helping children aged three to five years in understanding Covid-19 and coming to terms with why they must stay at home while the virus is a threat. In the story, Sammy’s parents explain why staying at home helps keep granny and granddad safe. All sorts of difficult emotions are experienced by Sammy when faced with this new way of living, before eventually coming to terms with it.
This book is an international collaborative project by psychologist Betty Rudd PhD currently in lock-down in Larnaca Cyprus, illustrator Linda Payne from South Africa, Freedom Healthcare Clinic based in Sussex England and a teacher in Aukland NZ who has many years experience of working with pre-school children.
Feedback from parents and children during the initial stages of the project was incalculable in ensuring the experiences of young Sammy ring true with children from various social circumstances.
Over 50% of proceeds from every book sold will go to a charity. The book is available as a PDF. It will be sent to you electronically upon purchase.
